[Lecturer Note: Canvas offers a powerful way to enhance your course content through the use of External Apps, also known as LTI tools (Learning Tools Interoperability). These tools can provide interactive exercises, assessments, simulations, and access to a wealth of external resources, all within your Canvas course. See the steps below for adding an LTI to a page.

Adding an LTI Tool to a Page

You can easily add LTI tools to your Canvas pages using the Rich Content Editor. Here's how:

Navigate to your Page: Go to the module where your page is located and open the page you want to edit.
Edit the Page: Click the "Edit" button in the upper right corner of the page.
Access the Rich Content Editor: The Rich Content Editor will appear, allowing you to modify the page content.
Insert the LTI Tool:
- Click the "Apps" icon ( ) in the Rich Content Editor toolbar.
- Select the desired LTI tool from the list. If you don't see the tool you need, contact your Canvas administrator.
- Follow any on-screen prompts to configure the tool. This may involve specifying settings or content within the tool itself.
Save and Publish: Once you have added and configured the LTI tool, click "Save & Publish" to make the changes live.
